We have purchased a couple of pcmcia video boards for development of video capabilities in a product. I have one of the video boards installed in a laptop. The other is installed on a regular desktop machine using a pcmcia adaptor board. I am encountering the same issue with both installs. I am an experieced Java developer, but new to JMF. The specific video board I am working with at the moment is an SAA7135 TV Card. If I bring up the JMStudio application and open this source for capture I get nothing but black.

Using several example modules I developed a capture module which does not save the video in a file. It just opens a panel on the desktop that shows the incomming video.

Both video boards came with an application calles honestech TVR. If I open that application and set it up to access the video board through the composite input it shows a live feed from the camera. Then, if I go back to JMStudio or my application the video now works fine. Vista boot cd download.
